When preparing an application for your clients it is important to gain a full picture of their circumstances, including any dependents. However, remembering the names of your clients’ children helps you build strong relationships and Mercury Nexus makes that task easy.
How do I record a dependent?
Dependents can be captured in a few ways from the People record. Either from the Details tab, or by creating a child record in the Relationships tab. Both sections are linked so if you create one, the other will be generated automatically.
Your clients can also record their dependents in the Client Centre, under the My Details tab. This will automatically populate into your CRM.
Adding a child from the Details tab:
Open the CRMApp and select People from the main left-hand menu.
Open the relevant People
Select Details from the sub left-hand menu.
Under the dependents section click the + Add Dependents
The Child pop-up window will open. Enter the child’s First name, Last name and DOB and

Adding a child from the Relationships tab:
Open the CRMApp and select People from the main left-hand menu.
Open the relevant People
Select Relationships from the sub left-hand menu.
Click on the + Add Child
The Child pop-up window will open. Enter the child’s First name, Last name and DOB and
Note: Adding the DOB will not require the exact date. You can just click on the year and month.Click Save
Click Yes to link a parent to the dependent and click Save
Adding a child using the Client Centre:
On the applicant details tab click Add dependent.
Type the First name, Last name and DOB.
Check whether they are Female or Male
Tick the checkbox of the applicant you wish to link the dependent to
