Why does the data in Mercury and Apply Online not match?
Updated over 2 years ago

The data in Mercury and apply Online can differ. This article explains a couple of reason why this is the case.

Why are there some fields in Mercury that do not make it over to my Apply Online applications?

Our developers work extensively with Apply Online to ensure that we map data across as thoroughly as possible. The aim is to reduce the double-entering of data. However, because Apply Online is a different system, and each Lender can have very different applications, in some instances not all data from the Mercury system can match the Lender application. You will find that most important data such as Assets, Liabilities, Applicant information, Company information, and Security details will come through.

Why do the fields in Mercury not match up to Apply Online exactly?

Apply Online is an application submission system. Mercury is a comprehensive CRM and Loan workflow system. As these systems do slightly different things, it is not always possible for every single field to match up between the systems.

Another challenge is that there is a growing number of lenders within Apply Online. Each Lender has the potential to have quite unique application forms, which causes another instance where data may not match up 100%, or the Lender may require extra data that is not captured in Mercury.
