In the Membership Centre, you can add products into Mercury Nexus for custom lenders that you have requested via the Mercury Helpdesk.
To request an off panel Residential or Commercial lender email [email protected]. We will need to know your full name, CA number, the full name of the lender you need to add, and confirm whether they are Residential or Commercial lending. The Mercury Helpdesk will let you know once you have access to the custom lender portal.
Once you have access, you can edit custom lenders via the Membership Centre:
1. Login to Mercury
2. Click on the Membership Centre tile on your dashboard*
3. In the Membership centre, click on the tile Update Custom Lender
4. You will be taken to the lender portal.
Note: The "Membership Centre" tile will not be visible to all users with access; it will only be visible to principal owners.
Access for non-Principal Owners
Non principal owners can also request access via the Mercury Helpdesk.

How to add Products
When you first access the lender portal, you will see a list of all your open connections. Navigate to the lender you would like to update and click open.
There are different tabs to insert your product information. Please note you need to save changes on each tab, before navigating to the next tab.
Tab 1: General
This includes all your core lender data:
Account name
Website
Servicing type
Servicing method
Servicing implemented
Plug rate
Servicing under review
Servicing review comment
You will also be able to edit income types and security type tabs from this screen.
Note: Ensure you add at least one Income and Security type to ensure your product entries appear in searches
Tab 2: Products
This is a list of all your products associated with this lender.
To add a new product:
1. Scroll down to the end and click on Add New Product.
2. Complete all the fields including security types, LMI and add any comments.
3. Scroll down to the end and click on Save and publish
Note: This may take a couple minutes to save, depending on how many products are loaded into this tab.
Note: You must select either Full Doc or Low Doc and specify with StdVar or Fixed in order for the products to appear in product searches.
To remove an existing product, click on the cancel button on the right.
To add further product details, click on Open
Here you can add:
- Product type
- Loan type
- Loan term
- Minimum and maximum loan amounts
- Assessment terms and assessment rates
You’ve added or updated the details, click on Save general changes.
Tab 3: Features
To add a feature, click on the Add Another button and fill in whether it’s available, the feature name and description.
To remove an existing feature, click on the cancel button on the right.
Then click on Save feature changes.
Tab 4: Fees
To add fees:
Click on Add Another
Add in whether it’s available, the fee type, fee description, fee value and fee description
To remove an existing feature, click on the cancel button on the right.
Then click on Save feature changes
Tab 5: Rates
For fixed rates, variable base rates are added in the general tab. Each line will show as a product in Mercury Nexus.
To add fees, click on Add Another
Add in number, rate type, rate value and duration.
To remove an existing feature, click on the cancel button on the right.
Then click on Save feature changes.
Tab 6: Discount types
To add fees, click on Add Another
Add in state and type.
Then click on Save feature changes
Tab 7: Discounts
Specify the discounts for the discount types
To add discounts, click on Add Another
Add in discount type, lower, upper, lower LVR, Upper LVR and standard value.
Then click on Save feature changes.
Once you’ve completed all tabs, click on Publish Product and it will appear in Mercury. As best practice, please navigate to Mercury Nexus and check your product details are all correct.
Can other Custom Lender details be added?
For Custom Lenders you are currently limited to only adding the following,
Lender website address
Lender products
Lender logo (The logo you wish to appear needs to be sent through to the Mercury Helpdesk)
There is currently no option to add Lender Contact details or Lender Documents on your custom lender. Utilise the General Documents section in the Admin App to upload Lender Documents.
Can I submit to Apply Online or LoanApp using my custom lender via my Nexus Opportunity?
No, we only have an integration with our panel lenders to submit to Apply Online or LoanApp via the Nexus Opportunity records. You will need to contact the lender directly to find out their submission process.
