Questions
What is a digital signature?
A digital signature allows documents to be signed using an online platform, while verifying that the person signing is who they say they are.
Digital signatures can vary in credibility depending on the security features the platform has used.
DigiSign offers a secure signing-process which provides a high level of confidence in the authenticity and integrity of digital documents and messages.
What is the difference between an e-signature and a digital signature?
An e-signature is simply an image of your signature that can be pasted into a word or PDF document, often within signature panels and checkboxes that can be located throughout a document.
A digital signature is an electronic signature that uses cryptographic techniques to verify the authenticity and integrity of a digital document. Platforms like DocuSign and DigiSign produce a digital certificate which confirms the who digitally signed the document and the integrity of that document (i.e., that it has not been changed).
The digital signature ensures that any tampering with the document after it's been signed will be detected, providing a higher level of security and trust.
Because digital signatures are more secure and tamper-evident, they are generally more widely accepted in legal contexts compared to basic e-signatures.
You can use DigiSign for all your Connective Compliance documents.

My client has completed the Digisign, but the signature is blank/not available
The completed Digisign signature section may appear blank. If you look closely at the signature section you may see a small dot or line.
This can occur where the client clicks into the signature space to manually draw their signature and then clicks the Sign button.
If this occurs you will need to send a new Digisign request in order to get the client's actual signature.
Can my client access Digisign from overseas if they cannot receive SMS?
Yes. The One Time Password (OTP) is also sent to their email address.
