Data Transfer Guidelines for Mercury Nexus
Use this guide to understand how data transfers work in Mercury Nexus and what you need to prepare when moving CRM data to a new or existing partner group. This process helps ensure clean data ownership and protects the integrity of your client records.
What are my transfer options?
You can request either a full or partial transfer of CRM data between partner groups.
Partial transfer
A partial transfer applies when one or more users are moving to a new or existing partner group.
The source partner group remains active. All data linked to the moving user(s) is placed into a virtual branch, which is then transferred to the destination group.
Full CRM data transfer
A full transfer moves all CRM data from the source group to the destination group. Once the transfer is complete, the source group will no longer have access to that data.
How Digital Marketing Hub accounts are affected
If the source partner group uses Digital Marketing Hub (DMH), any contacts being transferred will be removed from all existing DMH lists.
This prevents transferred contacts from continuing to receive marketing from the original company.
Important: This removal only affects marketing lists, not the contact record itself within Mercury Nexus.
What can and can’t be transferred
Data transfers include all types of opportunities, not just Home Loan oportunities.
During a data transfer, most information stored within opportunity and people records will move to the destination group.
The following items cannot be transferred:
Document templates
Admin data (not included in partial transfers)
People categories and person tags
Tip: If you need these items replicated in the destination group, speak with your Partnership Manager about setup options.
Note: For Partial data transfer requests, ALL data placed in a new Virtual Branch at Source group will be moved to the destination group when the transfer is executed.
Data transfer cost
A fee of $300 + GST applies to every data transfer.
This fee will be automatically billed or deducted from the destination company.
How long the transfer takes
Data transfer requests are reviewed within five business days after the signed Data Transfer Form is received.
We will confirm the scheduled transfer date with you once your request has been processed.
Conditions of data transfer
Please review the conditions below before submitting your request:
Data is moved, not copied, and will no longer be available to the original partner group.
All outstanding Compliance Corrective Actions must be resolved before the transfer can occur.
Data ownership can only be reversed with mutual agreement and incurs an additional $300 + GST fee.
This transfer covers CRM data only. Commissions are not included. See Transferring a Trail Book within Connective.
Important: Data transfers are irreversible once completed unless both parties agree to reverse ownership.
Getting started
Speak with your Partnership Manager to begin the transfer process.
They will provide the Data Transfer Form and coordinate next steps.
