Contact Us form

Set up a Contact Us form to capture enquiries in Mercury

Updated over a week ago

Use this guide to understand how a Contact Us form on your website can capture client enquiries and transfer them directly into Mercury.

Use a Contact Us form to collect enquiries from your website and have them flow straight into Mercury. This helps you track and follow up client enquiries without manual data entry.

How the Contact Us form works

A Contact Us form allows visitors to enter their details on your website.
When the form is submitted, the information is transferred directly into Mercury.

The form is not created within Mercury. It must be built and implemented on your website by your web developer using Connective’s specifications.

Note
The form will only work once it has been correctly built by your web developer and activated by Connective.

What is a honeypot script?

The Contact Us form includes an inbuilt honeypot script to help prevent spam submissions.

A honeypot is a hidden field added to the form. Genuine users cannot see or complete this field, but spambots often will.

If the hidden field is populated, Mercury identifies the submission as spam and rejects it automatically.

Tip
Honeypots block spam without inconveniencing clients, unlike captchas that require extra steps.
