Mercury Nexus allows you to perform calculations independently while keeping your data linked to the correct opportunity record. You can save and attach a borrowing capacity calculation directly to an opportunity to ensure accurate record keeping and reporting.
How to save a borrowing capacity calculation
When using the Borrowing Capacity Calculator from the Mercury Nexus dashboard, Mercury Nexus CRM or Research app (before creating an opportunity), make sure you click Save before closing the calculator.

Attach a borrowing capacity calculator to an Opportunity
Open the CRM app.
Select opportunities from the left-hand menu.
Open the relevant opportunity record.
Select Calculations from the sub-menu.
Click the + Attach drop-down.
Select Borrowing Capacity.
Select the calculation you want to attach.
Click Choose.
The selected Borrowing Capacity calculation will now be linked to the opportunity.
Delete a calculation
If a Borrowing Capacity calculation is no longer required:
Select the Borrowing Capacity calculation under the Calculations tab.
Click Delete.
Important
Deleting a Borrowing Capacity calculation is permanent and cannot be undone. If deleted in error, the calculation must be recreated manually.
Best practice tips
Confirm you are attaching the correct version before moving a Borrowing Capacity calculation.
Avoid deleting calculations unless absolutely necessary.
Use clear naming conventions when creating Borrowing Capacity calculation to reduce confusion.
