Use this guide to preview a Client Portal request before sending it to your clients. Previewing allows you to check the layout, enabled modules and document requests from the client’s perspective.

Preview the request while it is in Draft status to confirm everything is configured correctly.

Open the request

  1. Open the relevant Opportunity.

  2. Select Client Portal from the side navigation.

  3. Double-click the request to open it.

Preview the Client Portal

  1. In the top toolbar, click Preview Client Portal.

  2. If there is more than one contact on the request, select the contact you want to preview

The preview will open and display:

  • Enabled modules

  • Shared documents

  • Document requests

  • Questionnaires

  • Personal and financial sections

This shows how the Client Portal will appear to the client once sent.

What preview shows

Preview displays:

  • The order of modules

  • Which sections are enabled

  • Document card titles and descriptions

  • Quantity requirements

  • Shared vs individual sections

Use preview to confirm:

  • No unnecessary modules are enabled

  • Document descriptions are clear

  • Questionnaire sections are correctly assigned

  • Financial modules are assigned to the correct applicant

What preview does not show

Preview does not:

  • Display client-specific progress

  • Display the signing component for DigiSign documents

Important
DigiSign documents cannot be previewed. Confirm the correct version is attached before sending the request.

When to use preview

Use preview:

  • Before sending the request

  • After applying document templates

  • After configuring questionnaires

  • After assigning financial modules

Previewing reduces client confusion and follow-up corrections.

After previewing

If changes are required:

  • Close the preview

  • Return to Request Builder

  • Update the relevant module

You can only make changes while the request is in Draft status.
