Becoming more personalised on social media
Becoming more personalised on social media
Updated over a week ago

It’s great to see many of you are publishing great, informative content on your social media pages, including links to relevant articles and blog posts that are useful to your clients.

There are ways you can become more personalised and engaging with your social media content. You can attract more page views and brand exposure when you publish content that is unique to your business such as:

  • Client Testimonials.

  • Photos with your satisfied clients.

  • Participation in community events.

  • Images of you and your colleagues in action.

  • Personalised cover photos with company details and effective imagery.

Your business stories

Success stories raise credibility and attract referrals. Your social media business pages are a great launching pad for client testimonials. Client testimonials on your social media pages that are linked to your website can help drive traffic to your website if a fan clicks through to that landing page.

Share in your client’s success

Making a home or vehicle finance purchase is an exciting time for your clients. An excited client would be more than happy to take a photo in front of their home sold sign or their shiny new set of wheels. If the use of the photo is approved by your client, you could publish the photo with a caption highlighting how you helped them achieve their goal. In the social media realm, it’s perfectly fine to blow your own trumpet every now and then.

Personalised content gives your business transparency online and lets your clients get to know you as individuals and a broker of choice.

Community engagement and events

If you or your colleagues are involved in charities or community events, publish photos of the event on your pages. For example, if you or your colleagues participated in The Colour Run last month, get those photos up on your business page. Your fans will be curious to see pics of you and your colleagues with fluoro powder thrown all over them. Fun and humorous images like these not only attract the most views, it also gives your business page fans insight into your company culture and business personality. Your page fans will also appreciate that your company is supporting a great cause.

Publishing photos of events your company is involved in, such as expos, is a great way to get exposure for your brand.

Get personal in your cover photo

A cover photo with imagery of happy clients make great cover photos. Images like this convey the professional service you provide. Having yourself or your team included in the image is engaging because it brings you closer to your clients as it introduces yourself in action in a business setting.

Best practice

Having your contact details and any award win logo images included within your cover photo is considered best practice. The inclusion of company accolades in the cover will raise the profile of your business. Including your company contact details in your cover header also makes you even more contactable. This is because a fan will see your company contact info before having to click through to the ‘About’ tab.
