We offer diversification opportunities with insurance. In this article, we explain how you can refer your clients to ALI or Allianz via Mercury Nexus.

General Insurance

Part of your responsibility as a provider of finance solutions is to help ensure that your clients are fully prepared for whatever the future may bring. This is why discussing insurance options with your client is part of your Responsible Lending obligations.

This includes offering General Insurance as part of any residential loan you write and talking about loan, life and income protection insurance options as a part of your sales and compliance processes.

At Connective, you have the option to:

  • Refer clients to a trusted colleague

  • Refer clients to a Connective introduced contact

  • Become accredited so you can write the business yourself or ‘Tick and Flick’ your clients through to our insurance company partners such as Lifebroker or ALI Group

We also offer General Insurance through Allianz, offering very competitive commissions.

Insurance integration in Mercury Nexus

Our Mercury Development Team has made some great additions to your Mercury Nexus platform to make it easier for you to offer insurance to your clients. The purpose of the integration is to make the process of offering your clients ALI and Allianz insurance products a quick and easy task, all in-built in Mercury Nexus.

The launch of the Allianz and ALI integration is available exclusively to users of Mercury Nexus. Let’s take a look at how it works.

Australian Life Insurance (ALI) Mercury Nexus Integration

ALI believe a broker’s responsibility goes beyond helping their clients find the right loan. It’s also about making sure clients understand the risks associated with having a large debt, so they can decide how to best protect against them.

Put simply, My Protection Plan is an optional insurance policy which provides some protection for clients when they have a loan and is unlike Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI) which protects the lender. It caters for circumstances including:

  • Death and terminal illness

  • Trauma covering 17 serious medical conditions

  • Specified injuries if you fracture a listed part of the body

To use the integration, click on the ‘Insurance’ dropdown in your ‘client opportunity’ record and select ‘My Protection Plan’

A pre-populated application will open in ALI’s system – ready for you to continue.

It makes it very quick and easy to provide a quote for your customer through to submitting the application.

If you receive a message that your Broker ID and email address do not match. Please contact ALI directly to resolve.

Allianz Insurance Mercury Nexus Integration

Allianz offers additional, super easy, revenue streams for your business, including Home Building and Contents, Landlord and Motor Vehicle Insurance. Our Allianz Mercury Nexus integration lets you easily make an insurance referral for Allianz insurance.

Our Mercury Nexus and Allianz integration makes it easy for you to refer clients to Allianz as part of your process and meet compliance obligations.

Click on the ‘Insurance’ dropdown in your ‘client opportunity’ record, select ‘Allianz’.

Note: Do not use any special characters in the Comments section (eg, #@)

You’ll be prompted to read a statement to your client and tick the check box once you’ve gained consent. This ensures you're complying with Anti-Hawking legislation.

Once you have clicked send on the form your client will be contacted by Allianz – it's that easy!
