Once an application has been submitted in ApplyOnline (AOL), your ability to edit and resubmit depends on the lender’s policy.
Some lenders allow post-submission amendments, while others require a new application to be lodged.
The attached document outlines lender resubmission policies (current as of 27 September 2023): Lender_Resubmission_Policies_2023-09-27.pdf
When resubmission is available
If the lender permits resubmission:
The Edit to Resubmit button will be visible within the application.
You can update the required fields.
Resubmit the application once amendments are complete.
Any additional documents uploaded during the edit and resubmit process will be transmitted to the lender after successful resubmission.
If resubmission is not available
If:
The lender does not allow resubmission; or
The Edit to Resubmit button is not available;
You will need to:
Clone the application.
Make the required edits in the cloned application.
Submit it as a new application.
Application is approved for resubmission but locked
If the lender policy allows resubmission but the application is still locked:
There may be technical or system-related reasons preventing editing.
To resolve:
Contact the Mercury Helpdesk via [email protected]; or
Use chat and select Wait for the team.
The Helpdesk can escalate the issue to NextGen if required.
Sending additional documents after resubmission
Any additional documents uploaded during the edit and resubmit process will be sent to the lender once the resubmission is successful.
Always confirm that:
All required documents are attached;
The application status updates correctly after resubmission.
