New Needs Analysis Questionnaire

There's a new Needs Analysis Questionnaire in your Mercury Nexus Account.

The new questionnaire has a new user-friendly layout, uses language that is easy for your clients to understand and uses conditional logic to ask your clients for information relevant to them.

The new needs analysis will appear in the questionnaires section of your opportunity record and is called Needs Analysis - 23/24.

Please note this new needs analysis is built to work with the current client centre. It will work in the old client centre, but some formatting may differ.

When your client accesses the questionnaire from your email invitation, this is the dashboard they will see:

As they complete each section, the section will update to completed:

There's also conditional logic built in. If your client needs to provide further information to support their answer, they will be prompted to do so.

This is what your client can expect to be asked in each section

In the finance history, clients will be asked for:

  • Consent to credit check

  • Defaults, judgements or legal proceedings

  • Current home loan repayment history

  • Other debt repayment history

Under you and your finances, your client will be asked:

  • Their understanding of finance

  • Understanding of spending and household finances

  • Whether they would be willing to change their spending habits

  • Whether they are willing to reduce or cancel debts

  • If they have any other applications in progress at the moment

  • If they are a tax resident of another country

In financial future, your client will be asked:

  • The age they plan to retire

  • How they intend to pay back the loan if the loan term goes past their retirement age

  • Any other expected lifestyle changes

  • Short term loan objectives

  • Long term loan objectives

  • Insurances

About the loan you want will ask the client:

  • The amount they are looking to borrow

  • Main reason they are seeking finance

  • What loan term they would like

  • How long they intend on keeping the property

  • Repayment type

  • Rate type

  • Loan features are important to them, including offset, redraw and rate lock\

About the lender you want will ask your client:

  • If they are looking for a specific type of lender

  • If they have any lenders they would prefer to use or not use

  • Whether a physical location is import

  • Anything else that is important to them when choosing a lender.

Once your client has completed their questionnaire, they can click on submit your details and the information will import to your Opportunity record.
