Using the Change Log in Mercury Nexus

Every Opportunity and Person record in Mercury Nexus includes a Change Log.

The Change Log provides a detailed audit trail of updates made to the record, supporting transparency, compliance and internal review.

Where to find the Change Log

To access the Change Log:

  • Open the relevant Opportunity or Person record.

  • Navigate to the Change Log section.

What information is recorded

The Change Log captures the following details for each update:

  • Date and time of the change

  • User who made the change

    • This may include a client if the update was made via the Client Centre

  • Record Identifier

    • Identifies related records, such as Tasks

  • Field Name that was changed

  • Old Value

  • New Value

This allows you to clearly track what was updated and by whom.

Reverting changes

If you need to correct or revert a change:

  • Review the Old Value column in the Change Log.

  • Manually update the field on the record to restore the previous value.

Important
Changes cannot be automatically reversed. You must manually re-enter the previous value.
