Reporting on Notes in Mercury Nexus

Learn how to generate a Notes report to view and export notes created across Opportunities, People and Company records.

Navigating between multiple records to locate information can be time consuming.

The Notes report allows you to view notes created by any team member without switching between individual records.

This supports compliance reviews, file audits and performance monitoring.

What information can be reported?

The Notes report includes entries such as:

  • General notes

  • Appointments

  • Emails

  • Compliance notes

  • Letters

  • Phone calls

  • SMS

  • Voicemail

This provides a centralised overview of communication and activity.

Generate a Notes report

To run the report:

  • Open the CRM app.

  • Select Reports from the left-hand menu.

  • Click Database Activity in the top menu.

  • Select Notes.

Customise your report filters

You can refine the report using the available filters:

  • User – Select a specific team member.

  • Date Range – Choose the reporting period.

  • Note Type – Filter by note category (e.g. Email, Compliance, Phone Call).

The report will automatically update based on your selections.

View and export results

  • Highlight an entry to preview the note content.

  • Right-click on the table to Export to Excel.

Exporting allows you to:

  • Conduct file reviews

  • Share activity summaries

  • Analyse team communication
