Generating a lead source report in Mercury Nexus

Understanding which lead sources deliver results helps you allocate your marketing budget effectively.

The Lead Source Report in Mercury Nexus allows you to analyse performance across opportunity statuses and measure return on investment.

Generate a lead source report

To create a Lead Source Report:

  • Open the CRM app.

  • Select Reports from the left-hand menu.

  • Click Business Statistics in the top menu.

Configure your report filters

Select opportunity type

Choose the relevant Opportunity Type from the Transaction Type drop-down menu.

Group by lead source

Use the Group By drop-down and select Lead Source.

This will break down your data by each recorded source.

The report will automatically generate based on your selections.

View the data as a chart

You can visualise the report using:

  • Pie Chart

  • Column Chart

In the Pie Chart view, you can:

  • Display results by Number of Loans or Volume

  • Choose whether to Display Values

Export or pin your report

To export your data:

  • Click Launch Report to export to Excel.

To keep the report visible on your dashboard:

  • Tick Pin to Dashboard.

Understanding the report description

A description appears at the bottom of the report screen. This outlines:

  • The filters applied

  • The data being used

  • The calculation basis

Review this to ensure you are analysing the correct data set.

Best practice for accurate reporting

  • Ensure lead sources are consistently recorded in each Opportunity.

  • Avoid duplicate or inconsistent naming conventions.

  • Periodically review and clean up unused lead sources.
