Opportunity report in the Analytics app

Learn how to use the Opportunity Report dashboards to analyse your sales funnel, conversion rates and business performance.

The Opportunity Report displays your data in a meaningful way so you can understand your sales funnel.

Use these dashboards to:

  • Identify what is working well

  • Detect bottlenecks

  • Improve conversion rates

  • Increase settlement volumes

1. Opportunity Generation

This dashboard is pulled directly from your Opportunity records in Mercury Nexus.

It allows you to analyse:

  • Number of opportunities created each month

  • Opportunities by transaction type (blank means not classified as purchase or refinance)

  • Opportunities by opportunity type (e.g. Home Loan, Insurance, Asset Finance)

  • Opportunities by current status

  • Opportunities by lead source

  • Opportunity amount by lender

You can click on any graph to drill down further.

Example:
Click Current Status – Lodged to view transaction type, lead source and lender amounts for all lodged opportunities.

This dashboard can be filtered by:

  • Broker

  • Supervisor

  • Admin

2. Days in Status

This dashboard shows the median time an opportunity remains in each status.

Use it to:

  • Monitor SLAs

  • Identify delays

  • Improve workflow efficiency

Filters include:

  • Broker

  • Supervisor

  • Admin

Each data table includes a Link to Opp column, allowing you to open the Opportunity record directly from Analytics.

3. Status History

Track milestones and seasonality trends across your business.

You can see:

  • Month-by-month opportunity creation

  • Number of opportunities in each status over time

This helps identify pipeline build-up or seasonal trends.

4. Home Loan Conversion

This dashboard measures conversion performance across key stages:

  • Opportunities to Application Lodged

  • Application Lodged to Unconditional Approval

  • Unconditional Approval to Settlement

  • Opportunities to Settlement

The large central percentage shows your conversion rate.

The smaller comparison percentage shows the Connective broker average (rolling 12-month average, updated daily).

Below the meter, you will see dollar value increases for every 1% uplift in conversion β€” highlighting potential revenue growth.

Filters include:

  • Date

  • Broker

  • Admin

  • Lead Source

  • Transaction Type

The lower data table allows you to analyse:

  • Applications that converted

  • Applications that did not convert

Example:
Select Approved = Yes and Settled = No to identify approvals that have not settled.

5. Conversion Analysis

Breaks down conversion by:

  • Broker

  • Admin

  • Lender

This helps identify where conversion performance is strongest or requires improvement.

6. Timeframes

Displays your 6-month average turnaround times for:

  • Application Lodged

  • Lodged to Unconditional Approval

  • Unconditional Approval to Settlement

  • Total time to Settlement

These are compared against the Connective broker average.

Note
Opportunity definitions may differ between brokers, so comparisons may not be strictly like-for-like.

7. Turnaround times by lender

Compare lender turnaround performance across your business.

Similar to the Lender Approval Times Dashboard, this report helps identify:

  • Efficient lenders

  • Potential submission delays

  • Areas for process improvement

8. Opportunity Data

A summary table of all opportunities, allowing quick access to records directly from the Analytics dashboard.

9. Opportunities with Settlement Date

An enhanced Settlement Report view showing settlements by:

  • Transaction type

  • Lead source

  • Lender

Useful for identifying revenue drivers.

10. Status Comparison

This dashboard shows the flow of opportunities through statuses.

You can analyse:

  • Conditional approvals to settlements

  • Leads to documents requested

  • Conversion rates at each stage

This highlights drop-off points in your pipeline.

Best practice tips

  • Regularly review conversion metrics monthly.

  • Drill down into underperforming statuses.

  • Monitor Days in Status to avoid bottlenecks.

  • Use lender turnaround data to inform product selection.

  • Ensure Opportunity data is consistently maintained for accurate reporting.
