Use this guide to understand what the Analytics app shows and how it helps you monitor and improve your business performance using data from Mercury Nexus.
What is the Analytics app?
The Analytics app provides a set of dashboards that help you track, analyse, and understand how your business is performing. The insights support better decision-making across your sales funnel, settlements, commissions, and client retention.
The dashboards are designed to highlight trends, identify bottlenecks, and show where to focus your efforts to improve conversion rates and settlement volumes.
Accessing the Analytics app
You can access the Analytics app from your Mercury Nexus home page.
To open the app:
Log in to Mercury Nexus
Select the Analytics app icon from the home page
The app opens in a new browser tab
Important
Only Head Office users with Partner-level access can view the Analytics app. Some reports have additional access requirements.
Understanding the Analytics dashboards
The Analytics app includes the following dashboards.
Opportunity report
Use this dashboard to understand how opportunities move through your sales funnel.
It helps you:
See which stages perform well
Identify bottlenecks in the process
Focus efforts on improving conversion rates
Application and settlement report
This dashboard provides insight into your submitted applications and settled loans.
You can analyse data by:
Month
Lender type
Loan purpose
Rate type
Loan-to-value ratio (LVR) band
Lender
This information helps you monitor trends and assess performance across different lending scenarios.
Commissions report
Use this dashboard to track your upfront and trail commissions.
It shows:
Current portfolio value
Discharges
Arrears
Sources of commission income
Important
The commissions report is only available to Main Branch users with Commissions access.
Fixed rate expiry report
This dashboard shows how many clients have fixed rates expiring within the next 12 months. It supports proactive client engagement and retention strategies.
Interest-only expiry report
This dashboard shows how many clients have interest-only periods expiring within the next 12 months. Use it to identify clients who may need a review.
Switching between dashboards
When the Analytics app opens, all dashboards are displayed.
To view a dashboard:
Select the dashboard you want to review
The selected dashboard opens in a new tab
Checking when data was last updated
Analytics data refreshes every 24 hours.
A timestamp appears at the top of each dashboard showing when the data was last refreshed.
Note
By default, reports display the current calendar year. You can adjust the date range on each dashboard to view a different period.
