DigiSign is built directly into your CRM in Mercury Nexus. You can send documents for signing in two ways:
From the DigiSign tab (single documents)
From the Client Centre (single or multiple documents)
Before you begin
You must have a default email profile set up to send DigiSign invitations.
Important
You cannot send a DigiSign request without a default email profile.
Send a document from the DigiSign tab
Use this method to send a single document for signing from within an Opportunity.
Log in to Mercury Nexus.
Navigate to CRM.
Open the relevant Opportunity record.
Select DigiSign from the left-hand menu.
Click Add and select the document to be signed.
Select the contact(s) who need to sign.
(Optional) Set an expiry date.
Click Add Request and Send Email.
The document will appear in your Documents list. You can monitor its status in the right-hand panel.
Document format considerations
If using a Word template, signature blocks will appear in the correct signing areas.
If using a PDF, the signature will be appended at the end of the document.
Note
To send a DigiSign request, each signer must have a First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number and Email address recorded in Mercury.
Send documents from the Client Centre
Use this method when sending multiple documents or managing a broader client request.
Open the relevant Opportunity.
Select Client Centre from the left-hand menu.
Create your Client Centre request.
In the DigiSign section, attach the document(s) for signing.
Send the Client Centre invitation.
The DigiSign preview will not display within the Client Centre setup screen.
What happens after the client signs?
Once the client completes the signing process:
The signed document
The digital signing certificate
The original document
will automatically import into the Attachments section of the Opportunity record.
You can enable a notification in the Notification Centre to receive confirmation when a DigiSign request is completed.
Important limitations
You cannot download a partially completed DigiSign document.
All applicants must sign the same document using the same invitation link.
If a signing error occurs, a new DigiSign request must be issued.
Important
Partially signed documents cannot be retrieved or reused.
