Managing your CAF accreditations in Mercury Nexus

To request an accreditation with an Asset Finance lender please be advised that in most instances these lenders require evidence of the following:

  • Consistent and existing volumes circa $150K per month

  • Evidence of historical volumes

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Asset Finance

  • Understanding of the asset types and where you are sourcing your business for asset finance

How to Request Accreditation Forms

Once your signed agreements are received in our head office, your Loan Writers can then use Mercury Nexus to request the transfer of their accreditations to Connective.

We ask that you select the lenders that you require as a priority to get those done first and we can then work on the remainder. .

Your CAF accreditations in Mercury Nexus

Loan Writers can manage their accreditations in by double clicking on Accreditations in Mercury Nexus.

My Accreditations

Loan writers can perform the following functions on the My Accreditations page in Mercury Nexus:

  1. View a list of existing accreditations.

  2. Request a new accreditation.

  3. Request to transfer an existing accreditation to Connective.

  4. Download lender accreditation forms.

  5. View and update the status of an accreditation request with a lender.

  6. Easily access the details required to complete the accreditation request form.

Request a new accreditation

Loan Writers can follow these steps to request a new accreditation with a lender.

  1. Click the New radio button.

  2. Click the Lender search button and the Lookup records window will appear.

  3. Choose the appropriate lender and click Select.

  4. Click Download lender form. The form will be sent directly to your email.

  5. Complete the lender forms and submit directly to our accreditations team via email: [email protected]

Steps to transfer an existing accreditation to Connective

  1. Click the Transfer radio button.

  2. Click the Lender search button and the Lookup records window will appear.

  3. Choose the appropriate lender and click Select.

  4. Fill out your existing lender ID

  5. Click Download lender form. The form will be sent directly to your email.

  6. Complete the lender forms and submit directly to our accreditations team via email: [email protected]

Accreditation status details

The CAF Accreditations team at Connective keeps track of the status of your accreditation as it progresses through the process with the lender. You can view the status of each accreditation in Mercury Nexus. (See list of status types below).

When a loan writer receives confirmation from the lender that their accreditation has been approved send the email to [email protected] who will change the status to Accredited and update your broker ID. You can also change the status to Accredited in Mercury Nexus as this information is used to automatically populate the Credit Guide.

  1. Find the accreditation and click Update Status.

  2. Choose Accreditedfrom drop down box and click Save.

The status types are:

Requested - the broker has requested a lender accreditation. An email will be sent to the broker with lender accreditation forms. If the broker does not complete and sends in the lender accreditation forms within 2 months of requesting them, we will delete that lender request.

Awaiting supporting documents - Missing or out of date supporting documents are required prior to the accreditation form being sent to the lender for processing.

Awaiting further information - The lender has requested further information e.g. CBA seeking clarification if a broker has lived in a previous address.

Submitted to lender - all documentation has been sent to the lender for processing.

Training pending (online) - The lender requires the broker to complete online training.

Training pending (F2F) - The lender requires the broker to complete face to face training.

Pending ID - Training has been completed and the broker ID is waiting to be issued.

Training did not attend/complete - The broker has not completed the required online or face to face training.

Referred - An accreditation has been declined by the lender and it has been referred to our Compliance team.

Accreditation on Hold - Lender has confirmed application and supporting documents are in order but will not provide a broker ID until there is an application to lodge.

Accredited - The lender has approved the broker accreditation. If the lender copies Connective Accreditation email into the approval we will manually enter the broker ID into Mercury. In some cases, the lender sends this information directly to the broker. If this is the case, forward the approval email to the Connective Accreditations team ([email protected]) so they can update the Broker ID into Mercury.

Rejected/declined - The lender has rejected/declined a broker’s accreditation.

Lapsed - Additional information/documents were requested from the broker and were not supplied or no response was received.
