Corporate v Individual CR number - which to use when
Updated over 2 years ago

When you became a Credit Representative of Connective, we registered you on ASIC and provided you with your credit representative number. However, if your company has also been registered as a Credit Representative of Connective, and has its own credit representative number, you may be confused as to which number you need to add to your Licensing Statement.

In any form of marketing/advertising, you must disclose your Licensing Statement.

Licensing Statement: Credit Representative (insert number) is authorised under Australian Credit Licence 389328.

The simplest way to determine which number to use is whether you are advertising under your company name or not.

Example:

  • Your website will be advertising your business, so the Company Credit Representative number should be disclosed in the Licensing Statement.

  • Whereas, on your business cards you would add your Personal Credit Representative number to the Licensing Statement. Even though this may have your company name listed, clients would be calling to talk to you directly.
