Setting the status of your Automation
Choosing the right status for your automation ensures contacts can enter or stay paused as needed. Here’s how each status functions:
Active
Setting an automation to "Active" means it’s ready for contacts to enter and move through the workflow. Automations are not set to "Active" automatically after creation—you’ll need to turn them on when you’re ready.
Inactive
When an automation is "Inactive":
New contacts won’t enter the automation.
Contacts already in the automation will stop moving forward until it’s reactivated.
Follow the steps below to easily activate or deactivate your automations in DMH:
How to set the status of multiple Automations to "Active" or "Inactive" in bulk from the Automations Overview page
This method lets you update the status of multiple automations at once.
Log in to your DMH account and go to the Automations section in the main menu.
From the Automations overview page, select the checkbox next to each automation you want to update.
At the top of the page, click Set Active to turn them on or Set Inactive to pause them.
Note: If you select automations with different statuses, all selected automations will change to the status you choose.
Once updated, a green dot will indicate "Active" status and a red dot will show "Inactive" status.
How to settha status of an individual automation to "Active" or "Inactive" from the Automations Overview page
Use this method to update the status of a single automation directly from the overview page.
Log in to your DMH account and go to the Automations section in the main menu.
In the Automations overview page, find the automation you wish to update.
Click the dropdown next to the Edit button.
Select Make Active or Make Inactive to change the status.
The automation’s status will change, with a green dot for "Active" and a red dot for "Inactive."
How to set an individual automation to "Active" or "Inactive" from the Automation Builder
You can also update an automation’s status directly within the Automation Builder.
Log in to your DMH account and go to the Automations section in the main menu.
From the Automations overview page, locate the automation you wish to edit and click Edit.
In the Automation Builder, click "Active" or "Inactive" in the top-right corner.
