Transferring full or partial data to another Mercury Nexus partner group

Learn how to request and prepare for a full or partial CRM data transfer between Connective partner groups.

Updated yesterday

Use this guide to understand how CRM data transfers work in Mercury Nexus and what you need to prepare before moving data to a new or existing partner group. This process ensures clean data ownership and protects the integrity of your client records.

Choose your transfer type

You can request either a full or partial transfer of CRM data between partner groups.

Partial transfer

A partial transfer applies when one or more users move to a new or existing partner group.

The source partner group remains active. All data linked to the moving user(s) is placed into a virtual branch. That virtual branch is then transferred to the destination partner group.

Note: For partial transfer requests, all data placed in the new virtual branch at source group will be moved to the destination group when the transfer is executed.

Full CRM data transfer

A full transfer moves all CRM data from the source partner group to the destination partner group.

Once complete, the source group will no longer have access to that data.

Important: Data is moved, not copied. It will no longer be available to the original partner group after completion.

Understand how Digital Marketing Hub is affected

If the source partner group uses Digital Marketing Hub (DMH), any contacts included in the transfer will be removed from all existing DMH marketing lists.

This prevents transferred contacts from continuing to receive marketing from the original company.

Important: This removal only affects DMH marketing lists. The contact record itself remains in Mercury Nexus and is transferred to the destination group.

Confirm what will transfer

Data transfers include all opportunity types, not just home loan opportunities.

Most information stored within:

  • Opportunity records

  • People records

will move to the destination partner group.

Items that cannot be transferred

The following items are not included in a data transfer:

  • Document templates

  • Admin data (not included in partial transfers)

  • People categories

  • Person tags

Tip: If you need these items setup in destination group, speak with your Partnership Manager before the transfer to arrange replication.

Check compliance requirements before requesting a transfer

Before a transfer can proceed:

  • All outstanding Compliance Corrective Actions must be resolved.

  • Both parties must agree to the data movement.

Important: Data transfers are irreversible once completed unless both parties agree to reverse ownership. A reversal incurs an additional $300 + GST fee.

Understand what is not included

CRM data transfers do not include commissions or trail books.

If you need to move commission ownership, see Transferring a Trail Book within Connective.

Understand the cost

A fee of $300 + GST applies to each data transfer request.

This fee will be automatically billed or deducted from the destination company.

Know the timeframe

Data transfer requests are reviewed within 5 business days after the signed Data Transfer Form is received.

You will receive confirmation of the scheduled transfer date once your request has been processed.

Start the transfer process

To begin:

  • Speak with your Partnership Manager.

  • Request the Data Transfer Form.

  • Ensure compliance requirements are complete.

  • Confirm which users and data are included.

Your Partnership Manager will coordinate the next steps and confirm timing.
