Assigning People Categories

With all the information you need to digest daily, the art of remembering the name of a specific client can often be difficult. You’re more likely to remember the specifics of the deal.

Categories allow you to classify and then search for your People records in a way that makes sense to you and your business. They’re also a fantastic tool for segmenting your database for marketing activities.

How do I assign a Person category?

You can assign your People record to a category as follows:

  1. In the CRM app select People from the main left-hand menu.

  2. Open the relevant People

  3. Use the Categories drop down to select and add the record to the selected category or categories.

  4. The record will be updated accordingly.

How to bulk assign Person records to a Person category?

  1. In the CRM app select People from the main left-hand menu.

  2. Highlight the contacts you want to bulk assign a person category to.

  3. Click the Bulk Assign button.

  4. Select Categories.

  5. Select Apply to selected or Apply to All and click Next. If you click Apply to All it will assign the category to all People records in your CRM.

  6. Select the category or categories from the list and click Choose.

  7. The records will be updated accordingly.

How to bulk unassign Person records from a Person category?

  1. In the CRM app select People from the main left-hand menu.

  2. Highlight the contacts you want to bulk unassign a person category to.

  3. Click the Bulk Unsssign button.

  4. Select Categories.

  5. Select Apply to selected or Apply to All and click Next. If you click Apply to All it will assign the category to all People records in your CRM.

  6. Select the category or categories from the list and click Choose.

  7. The records will be updated accordingly.
