How to assign Document Categories

A document classification system makes searching for and locating documents a breeze. Mercury Nexus uses categories to allow for easy sorting. This is handy if you have a large number of documents for a particular client or opportunity.

How do I assign documents to a category?

  1. Open the CRM and select either People or Opportunities from the main left-hand menu.

  2. Open the relevant record and select Attachments from the sub left-hand menu.

  3. Highlight the attachment you want to assign to a category.

  4. Navigate to the Categories drop-down that appears above the document preview.

  5. Use the checkboxes to select the appropriate category.

How do I filter attachments by document category?

  1. Open the CRM and select either People or Opportunities from the main left-hand menu.

  2. Open the relevant record and select Attachments from the sub left-hand menu.

  3. Select the Categories drop-down from the top menu.

  4. Use the checkboxes to select the categories you wish to view
