Mercury Nexus is designed to save you time and one of those time savers is the ability to send and store emails from within the CRM.
This is particularly useful for keeping a record of the correspondence between you and your clients in the one central location.
For compliance purposes you may want all correspondence to appear on the opportunity which sending an email from the opportunity may be preferable. Learn how to send an email from an opportunity here.
