Enable credit checks in Mercury Nexus

Learn how to register with illion and activate credit checks within Mercury Nexus.

Order credit checks directly within Mercury Nexus through our integration with illion. This guide explains how to register, activate your credentials and confirm your accreditation status.

Before you begin

You must complete the illion registration process before ordering credit checks in Mercury Nexus.

The setup is completed in the Admin app.

Register for illion credit checks

Follow these steps to activate the integration:

  • Open the Admin app.

  • Select Integration from the left-hand menu.

  • Click Credit Checks in the top menu.

  • Select Request illion Access.

You will be redirected to the illion registration page in a new tab.

Complete the illion registration form

On the illion registration page:

  • Confirm your details.

  • Add any missing information.

  • Click Submit.

You will receive a welcome email from illion containing your:

  • Subscriber ID

  • User Key

  • Password

Copy these credentials from the email.

Enter your illion credentials in Mercury

Return to Mercury Nexus and:

  • Open the Admin app.

  • Select Integration.

  • Click Credit Checks.

  • Enter your:

    • Subscriber ID

    • User Key

    • Password

  • Click Check Credentials to validate your details.

  • Navigate away from the Credit Checks tab to save your settings.

How long does accreditation take?

The process may take up to two business days:

  • You should receive your illion credentials within 24 hours of submitting the registration form.

  • After entering your credentials in Mercury Nexus, activation may take a further 24 hours.

You can check your status at any time by selecting Check Credentials.

Note
Activation timeframes may vary depending on illion processing times.

Start requesting credit checks

Once activated, you can order credit checks directly from within Mercury Nexus.

If you experience issues

If you encounter problems during registration or activation:

  • Confirm credentials were entered exactly as provided.

  • Re-check your status using Check Credentials.

If issues persist, contact the Mercury Helpdesk.
