Mercury Nexus allows you to send SMS messages directly from CRM, saving you time and keeping client communication centralised.
By default, SMS messages are sent from a Connective phone number. If you would like messages to appear from your personal mobile number, you must complete the registration process.
SMS functionality requires a two-step registration process.
Why registration is required
To ensure SMS messages are sent from your own number:
Register your mobile number in the Admin App.
Contact the Helpdesk to complete backend registration with Burst SMS.
If registration is incomplete, SMS messages will continue to send from a generic Connective number. To test if messages are still sending from a generic number, send a test SMS to your personal device and verify the sender ID.
Register your mobile number
To register:
Open the Admin app.
Click Mobile Registration.
Select Register for SMS.
Confirm your mobile number is correct.
Click Request Verification Password.
You will receive a verification code via SMS.
Enter the code in the Verification Password field.
Click Submit.
Final step β Helpdesk confirmation
After completing the verification:
Contact the Mercury Helpdesk via email or chat.
Provide:
Your full name
Your CA number
Your mobile number
Request registration with Burst SMS.
Important Recent legislative changes require manual registration of your number with our SMS provider. To confirm that your registration is successful, send a test SMS to your personal device and check that your registered number appears as the sender.
Verifying Registration Success
After completing the registration process, send a test SMS to your personal device.
Ensure that the message is delivered successfully and that your registered number appears as the sender.
Only one mobile number can be registered per Mercury account.
This mobile number is also used for password reset verification.
If you do not complete both steps, your SMS will continue to send from a generic number.
If your mobile number changes
If you need to update your mobile number:
Open the Admin app.
Click Mobile Registration.
Select Unregister for SMS.
Repeat the registration process with your new number.
