Mercury Nexus is designed to save you time. We don’t want you to have to spend all day switching from your computer to your phone and vice-a-versa. So, we’ve made it easy for you to send SMS text messages from Mercury Nexus, free of charge.
By default, SMS messages are sent from a Connective phone number. If you want your clients to receive SMS from your actual number you must follow the steps below.
How to register your own mobile number
Once your number is registered the SMS will be received from your number and not the Connective phone number.
Open the Admin App
Click Mobile Registration
Click Register for SMS
Ensure your mobile number is listed correctly and click Request Verification Password
You will receive a code on your mobile number. Enter this into the Verification Password field and click Submit.
Contact the Mercury HelpDesk via email or the chat function in Mercury Nexus with your name, CA number and mobile number requesting to register with BurstSMS*.
Note: You can only register one mobile number per Mercury account. This is also the mobile number used for the password reset process.
*Recent legislation changes require us to also register your number with our provider.
Steps if your mobile number changes
Open the Admin App
Click Mobile Registration
Click Unregister for SMS
Repeat above steps for your new number
