This guide explains how you can set up Zaps to reflect the movement of Mercury Opportunities in Trello.
This guide assumes that you have a basic understanding of how Zapier works and the related Zapier terms (actions, triggers, filters, etc) and Trello.
If you do not have a basic understanding of Zapier see: About Zapier
Prerequisites
You need to have a Trello account with board setup for receiving opportunities to be able to continue with the example below.
You will also need to have lists set up in the Trello board which will map to mercury statuses.
This example will show the transition of the opportunity through the following Statuses:
Lead
Appointed
Formally Approved
Settled
Note: You will need to set up one Zap for each status that you'd like to be represented in Trello. This is due to the limitations of the Trello app on Zapier
Setting up your Zaps
To effectively track Opportunity Status changes in Trello you will need to set up a couple of zaps.
The first will add a new card to your Trello board when an Opportunity is created in Mercury, and the subsequent zaps will move the card when the Opportunity Status changes.
You will need to set up a zap for each time the card must move across the board. The following process outlines how to set a zap for two columns on a Trello board, as an example. Add additional zaps as required.
Note: you can also use this zap to track on Loan Status changes. Simply change the trigger action from Opportunity Status to Loan Status.
