This change has not been scheduled yet. It will not go live until brokers can edit Client Portal requests that have already been sent to a client, a limitation we know is important to resolve first.
What is changing
The Client Centre is being phased out. Currently, DigiSign, Doc Requests, and Questionnaires each have their own standalone section in the opportunity nav, and requests created there get attached to a Client Centre invite before being sent to your client.
The functionality itself isn't disappearing. What's changing is where you manage it. Instead of three separate spots in the opportunity, DigiSign and Doc Requests will be managed entirely within the Client Portal request ecosystem. The DigiSign and Doc Requests sections in the opportunity nav will be removed.
Where DigiSign is going: The standalone DigiSign section in the opportunity nav is being removed. DigiSign for signing documents will be managed from within the Client Portal. If you need a document signed from the Attachments tab, this stays exactly as it is today.
Where Doc Requests are going: The standalone Doc Requests section in the opportunity nav is being removed. Requesting supporting documents from clients will be managed from within the Client Portal.
Where Questionnaires are staying: The Questionnaires section in the opportunity nav is staying, because the answers your client provides need to stay linked at the opportunity level for you to reference. You'll still be able to send a Questionnaire from the Client Portal, but the completed responses will continue to show on the opportunity.
Why we're making this change
Right now, DigiSign, Doc Requests, and Questionnaires each have their own standalone process on the opportunity, on top of the Client Centre. That means multiple places to start a request, and multiple invites sent to the same client.
The Client Portal consolidates all of this into a single, client-facing hub. Fewer separate requests means fewer emails for your client to manage, which has already shown a higher completion rate than the old Client Centre. That means fewer follow-ups and less time chasing missing information.
