Customising Birthday SMS templates
Updated over a week ago

The Birthday SMS feature is included in the Lite Touch and Premium Digital Marketing Hub (DMH) plans, Learn more. They are currently sent from your Mercury Nexus account.

You can decide who receives a birthday SMS by ensuring clients have the below information on their contact record in Mercury.

  • Date of birth

  • The birthday SMS category, which is called “MM - sms” is assigned.

Clients who meet the above criteria will receive a “Happy Birthday” text message on their birthday.

If you’d like the SMS to appear from your phone number, rather than a generic Connective number, you can register your mobile number in Mercury, so your clients can reply directly to you.

  • Your Trading Name will be automatically added at the end of your text message. You can change this in the Partner Details section within the Admin app of your Mercury Nexus. You can also contact Mercury Helpdesk via chat or email [email protected] so they can help you change your Trading Name.
