Add and maintain custom lender products in Mercury Nexus

Learn how to request access to a custom lender and add, edit, and publish products in Mercury Nexus.

Request a custom lender

If the lender is not on the Connective panel, you must request it through the Mercury Helpdesk.

Principal Owners must submit the request to the Mercury Helpdesk.

Email [email protected] and include the following details:

  • Full broker name

  • Connective Adviser (CA) number

  • Full lender name

  • Whether the lender is Residential or Commercial

The Helpdesk will confirm once you have access to the custom lender portal.

Handling SMSF Loans in Mercury

Entering an SMSF Loan

  • Create an Opportunity and select the correct type for Commercial/Business or SMSF company entity.

  • Upload all supporting documents required by the lender, including director/trustee requirements.

  • Maintain detailed file notes for all interactions (client, lender, third parties) across all channels.

  • Do not complete regulated compliance items (e.g., NCCP/BID disclosures, Needs Analysis questionnaire).

  • Record Assets & Liabilities (A&L) for the borrowing entity (company). Personal A&L may be listed under individual guarantors/directors if required by the lender.

SMSF Purchases

  • Enter an SMSF purchase as a commercial deal in Mercury.### Troubleshooting Common Issues

Product Visibility

  • If the “Connective Solution Commercial SMSF” product is not visible during product selection, untick the “Filter by LVR” option and search again. This will display the Connective Solutions Commercial products.### Next Steps After Off-Panel Lender Approval

  • Arrange accreditation directly with the chosen lender and confirm payment arrangements.

  • Set up commercial agreements directly with the lender, as Connective does not handle loan referral agreements.

  • Ensure compliance with all requirements, including Best Interests Duty (BID) where applicable.

  • Complete the preliminary assessment and include the off-panel lender in your product comparison.

  • Add and maintain the custom lender and products in Mercury as part of the opportunity setup.
