Where to find the questionnaire

Open the relevant Opportunity in Mercury Nexus.

Go to the Questionnaires section.

Select Home Loan – Needs Analysis.

You can send the questionnaire to your client via email invitation.

What your client sees

When your client accesses the questionnaire from your email invitation, they will see a dashboard showing each section.

As they complete each section, the status updates to Completed.

The questionnaire uses conditional logic. If a client selects an answer that requires more detail, additional questions will appear automatically.

What your client will be asked

The questionnaire is divided into structured sections.

Finance history

Your client will be asked about:

  • Consent for credit check

  • Defaults, judgements or legal proceedings

  • Current home loan repayment history

  • Other debt repayment history

You and your finances

Your client will be asked about:

  • Their understanding of finance

  • Their understanding of spending and household finances

  • Willingness to change spending habits

  • Willingness to reduce or cancel debts

  • Other applications currently in progress

  • Whether they are a tax resident of another country

Financial future

Your client will be asked about:

  • Planned retirement age

  • How they intend to repay the loan if it extends beyond retirement

  • Expected lifestyle changes

  • Short-term loan objectives

  • Long-term loan objectives

  • Insurance considerations

About the loan you want

Your client will be asked about:

  • Loan amount required

  • Main reason for seeking finance

  • Preferred loan term

  • How long they intend to keep the property

  • Repayment type

  • Rate type

  • Required loan features, such as offset, redraw and rate lock

About the lender you want

Your client will be asked about:

  • Preference for a specific lender type

  • Lenders they prefer to use or avoid

  • Whether a physical branch location is important

  • Any other lender selection preferences

After your client submits

Once your client completes the questionnaire, they can click Submit your details.

The information will automatically import into your Opportunity record.

Review the imported responses before progressing the application to ensure the data aligns with your lending recommendation and compliance requirements.
