In order to protect your client’s personal information, the Client Centre requires two-factor authentication to gain access. This is achieved by sending your client a unique link via email, and a unique code via SMS and email. Because of this you will need to have at a minimum a name, email and mobile number for your client listed against their Contact record.
Note: If the client is in a Geoblocked country they will not be able to access the Client Centre. List of geoblocked countries can be found here.
How do I send my clients access to the Client Centre?
Note: In order to send any email from the CRM you will need a default email profile
To send your client access:
Open the CRM app and select Opportunities from the main left-hand menu.
Highlight and open the relevant opportunity.
Open the Client Centre tab from the sub left-hand menu.
Select and open the request.
Navigate to the Request
Click the Send Invitation button and check the applicants who you would like to send the applications to and click Next.
Choose your email template. Learn more about email templates here.
Update the subject and text of the email if you require. Do not edit the tags already in the email template and click Send.
Your client will now receive an email inviting them to the Client Centre.
Once they attempt to login, they will be prompted to generate a one-time code that is texted and emailed to them.
Note: You can only send one invitation email to all Clients. Each time you send a new invitation the previously generated link becomes invalid.
If clients are not receiving the SMS, re-enter the mobile number with no spaces, and resend the invitation or have them retrieve the code via the email.
Note: The client will be prompted to reauthenticate if they remain idle for 15 minutes.
We are unable to guarantee successful delivery of SMS to mobile numbers outside of Australia.
How do I generate a Client Centre link?
If you do not wish to send your clients the auto-generated email that comes from the Client Centre, you can instead generate a unique link that gives your client's access to the Client Centre portal.
This link can be embedded in your own emails, allowing you to consolidate the number of emails you send to your client.
Each client will need their own unique link and will still be required to log in using 2-factor authentication as mentioned above.
To generate a unique link that can be embedded in an email:
Open the CRM app and select Opportunities from the main left-hand menu.
Highlight and open you’re the relevant opportunity.
Open the Client Centre tab from the sub left-hand menu.
Select and open the request.
Navigate to the Request
Click the Copy Invitation
Select the person you want the link for and click Copy Link. You will now be able to paste this link into your email.
