Reset or Update Mercury Nexus Account Password
Updated over 3 months ago

Passwords provide the first line of defence against unauthorised access to your account and information. When your account is created in Mercury Nexus an initial password will be set, however it is a good idea to change that on your first log in.

How can I generate a strong password and what are the criteria for a Mercury Nexus password?

In order to create a more secure password that also meets the requirements for the Mercury Nexus password policy, the password must:

  • Be a minimum of 8 characters long, consisting of both letters and numbers.

  • Include at least one special character, such as $, %, or ? (e.g. Banana$%?!).

  • Not be a repetition of the same numbers, letters, or symbols, as this will result in a weak password, regardless of its length (eg. 11111111111, qqqqqqqq, !!!!!!!!!!).

Please note that any password with 7 characters or less will be considered too short, resulting in the Confirm Password box remaining greyed out.

How can I reset my Mercury Nexus password if I am unable to login?
