Zapier University 101
Updated over a week ago

Ever wondered, "What is Zapier? How can it help me?" Well, in this course, you'll learn what Zapier is and how it can be useful for automating your workflows. You'll also learn some common Zapier terminology!

Lesson 1: Welcome to Zapier

Lesson 2: Build Your First Zap

Now that you know a little bit about what Zapier does and the language of workflow automation, let's put this into practice and build a Zap together.

Lesson 3: Filters

Filters, and other apps by Zapier, are built-in services included for free with your Zapier account that help you to supercharge your workflow.

Lesson 4: Delay

In this lesson, we're going to dive into another of Zapier's internal apps: Delay by Zapier. Using a delay step allows you to build Zaps that wait before continuing through the rest of the Zap. Let's take some time to walk through how that works and see just how useful it can be.

Lesson 5: The Formatter (Text)

In this video, we're going to introduce one of my favorite tools, called Formatter by Zapier. The Formatter is like a Swiss army knife for your data and it can so many different things. Because it does so many awesome things, we're going to tackle just a few in each of the next courses. For this video, we'll go over a few of the text transformations.

Lesson 6: The Formatter (Numbers)

Today's lesson continues our dive into the functionality and power of Formatter by Zapier. Specifically, we're going to focus on the “Number” action. This particular Formatter action lets you manipulate numbers in several different ways!

Lesson 7: The Formatter (Date/Time)

This lesson is the final video in our Formatter series - dates and times! Learn how to manipulate and reformat dates and timestamps so that they display exactly how you need them.

Lesson 8: Task History

In this lesson, we talk about how to view and use the Task History. The Task History will show you all of the Tasks your Zaps have tried to run - that means it includes items that have failed, items that have been filtered out and more. The task history's purpose is to show you a running log of your Tasks so you can keep track of the work you do, debug any errors and replay any failed items.
