Refer clients to Allianz insurance through Mercury Nexus

Learn how to refer clients to Allianz for insurance via the Mercury Nexus integration while meeting compliance obligations.

Allianz offers additional revenue opportunities, including:

  • Home Building and Contents insurance

  • Landlord insurance

  • Motor Vehicle insurance

The Mercury Nexus and Allianz integration allows you to complete referrals as part of your standard client process while meeting compliance requirements.

Before you send a referral

Open the relevant Client Opportunity in Mercury Nexus.

Ensure the Primary Applicant and any additional Applicant(s) in the Contact section have the following details completed:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Mobile number

Important
Do not use special characters (for example # or @) in the Comments section, as this may cause the referral to fail.

Send an Allianz referral

In the client opportunity, click the Insurance dropdown.

Select Allianz.

You will be prompted to read a disclosure statement to your client.

After reading the statement and obtaining verbal consent, tick the confirmation checkbox.

This step ensures compliance with Anti-Hawking legislation.

Click Send to submit the referral.

Once submitted, Allianz will contact your client directly.

What happens next?

Allianz will manage the insurance conversation directly with your client.

You do not need to complete a separate insurance application within Mercury Nexus.

Include the insurance referral discussion as part of your standard needs analysis to support compliance and improve client protection outcomes.
