Use this guide to understand how to access your commission statements, manage user permissions, and support payees or Virtual Branch users who need statement visibility.
Set up permissions to view commission statements
Commission statement visibility depends on your organisation’s user permissions. You can allow access at a company level or restrict it by payee.
Commissions Access permissions allow a user to view and download Commission Statements and Connective Asset Finance (CAF) Recipient Created Tax Invoices (RCTIs).
To update a user’s access:
Open the Mercury Admin App
Update their permissions under Manage users
Ensure Commissions Access is enabled
Note: Users without the correct permission will not see Statements or CAF Statements in the Commissions App.
View your commission statements
Trail commission statements for Resi/Commercial payments are available on the main page of the Commissions section in Mercury. Note that Asset Finance statements are separate and not included here.
In the Commissions App:
You will see a list of available statements by period, including the status (Interim or Final), payee, and amount. You can also view monthly trail payments for specific loans by opening the loan in Mercury Nexus, navigating to the Loan Account tab, and using the navigation buttons to locate commission details. After a trail transfer, loan accounts are allocated to your Connective code and visible in the Loan Accounts section under the Commissions tab. Trail commissions update in your interim statement as lenders process payments. Once a lender’s commission file is received, you can view upcoming payments under the Commissions tab in your Interim Statement.
Download a commission statement
To download a single statement:
Select the statement period.
Choose the report type you want to download.
Note: The statement must be marked Final to download the RCTI Summary or CSV export.
Download multiple commission statements
You can bulk-download RCTI Summaries or CSV exports.
To bulk download:
Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac).
Select multiple statement periods.
Click Download RCTI Summaries or CSV Exports.
Allow payees to view their own commission statements
You can create Payee logins so payees (such as referrers) can view their own commission statements. This is commonly used when referrers receive a split of upfront or trail commissions.
Brokers can update the "Manage payee" field in Mercury Nexus with login credentials to allow payees to log in and access their commission details.
To enable payee access:
Create a Payee login in the Mercury Admin App
Assign the correct commission visibility permissions
Create & Manage Payees
Payees will only see statements relating to their own payee record.
To transfer trail commissions to another broker, update the payee details on the applicable loans. This ensures the new broker receives payments and can access related RCTIs in Mercury.
Virtual Branch access to commission statements
If you operate within a Virtual Branch, you can view commission statements for activity associated with that branch.
Note: VB commission statements and RCTIs may be managed outside of Mercury. If you don’t see them in the Commission App, check your email for the statement or RCTI sent directly to you.
Virtual Branch members will only see statements for loans and payees linked to the branch.
Need help?
If your broker group does not use commission splits in Mercury, Connective cannot produce individual broker-level statements. In such cases, obtain your statements directly from your broker group.
If you need help accessing or downloading commission statements, contact your Partnership Manager or email [email protected].
