Mercury Nexus allows you to send individual SMS messages directly from CRM, helping you communicate with clients without switching between devices.
SMS messages sent from Mercury are free of charge.
Before you begin
Ensure your mobile number is registered in Mercury Nexus.

By default, SMS messages are sent from a Connective mobile number.
If you would like messages to display from your personal mobile number instead, contact the Mercury Helpdesk and provide:
Your full name
CA number
Mobile number
Note
Bulk SMS messaging is not currently supported. Only single SMS messages can be sent from Mercury Nexus.
Send an SMS message
To send a single SMS:
Open the CRM app.
Select People from the left-hand menu.
Open the relevant People record.
Click the Send SMS speech bubble icon next to the Mobile field.
Enter your message.
Click Send.
The SMS message will automatically save to the Notes section of the People record, providing a full communication history.
SMS character limits
When sending SMS via Mercury Nexus:
Standard GSM characters: up to 612 characters
Messages containing special characters or emojis: up to 268 characters
Using emojis or special characters reduces the total character limit.

Using tags in SMS Auto-Actions
When creating SMS Auto-Actions, you can insert system tags to personalise messages.
Available tags include:
FirstName
FullName
User_Mobile
Lender
Lender_Reference
Loan Amount
Date Settled
Broker
Opportunity Name
Primary Applicant First Name
Primary Applicant Full Name
Applicant First Names
Applicant Full Names
Current Date
Current Status
Status Notes
Sender First Name
Sender Salutation
Insert a tag into an SMS template
To add a tag:
Click the Insert Tag drop-down.
Select the required tag from the list.
Important
Do not manually type tag names. Tags must be selected from the drop-down menu to function correctly.
