Adding images to email templates in Mercury Nexus

You can upload your own images into Mercury Nexus and use them within your email templates.

Upload an image to your image library

Before inserting an image into a template, you must upload it to Mercury.

To upload an image:

  • Open the Admin app.

  • Select Documents from the left-hand menu.

  • Click + Add.

  • Browse for the image file on your computer.

  • Select Image as the folder location.

  • Click Choose.

Your image will now appear in your Images folder.

Add an image to an email template

To insert an image into an email template:

  • Navigate to Admin > CRM Settings.

  • Open an existing email template or create a new one.

  • Click More Rich in the editor.

  • Select Insert Image.

  • Return to the image library and select the image.

  • Click Copy Image URL.

  • Paste the image URL into the image field.

  • Click Insert.

The image will appear in the template. You can:

  • Resize it

  • Move it

  • Align it as required

Replace an existing image in a template

To replace an image:

  • Select the image in the email template.

  • Click Replace (double arrow icon).

  • Paste the new image URL.

  • Click Replace.

The image will update instantly.

Delete an image from the image library

To remove an image:

  • Open the Admin app.

  • Go to Documents > Images folder.

  • Select the image.

  • Click Delete.

Important
Deleting an image from the library will break any email templates that use that image URL.

Best practice tips

  • Use optimised image sizes to improve email load times.

  • Keep branding consistent across all templates.

  • Test email templates before sending to confirm images render correctly.

  • Avoid deleting images currently used in active templates.
